Students Making an Impact to Stop School Mass Shootings
There is a reoccurring tragedy that continues to happen in the USA and that is school shootings. Last week, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was a target for a shooting where 17 students were shot and killed and 14 were injured.
Teen survivors of the shooting are using activism to make their voices heard. Emma Gonzalez was one of the first to appear on national television for her instant historic speech calling for gun safety to ensure future shootings won't happen again.
Cameron Kasky, announced that their organization by the name of March For Our Lives, will be holding protests around the country to demand action on gun violence. Students will be marching for their lives against politicians and the NRA.
David Hoggs, takes it online for a plea on action and to end the political division to come together to make a difference.
Teenagers are often underestimated in what kind of impact we can all make, but we have the power and freedom to make our voices heard on an issue that effects every student nationwide.
