New App Aims to Prevent Youth Suicide

January 24, 2018

A community in Oregon decides to do something about the never-ending crisis on suicide. They launched an app called "First Step."

The app is available to anyone! On the app, it provides help for preventing suicide in the hands of those who need it. First Step provides phone numbers to call or text, nearby therapists, tips for helping a friend, tips for getting through a rough day, free counseling and much more! Schools in Central Oregon have rolled the app out on school iPads so that it will always be there for anyone that needs a first step up to hope.
